기계식 시계와 탈진기⚙

무게추의 낙하를 탈진기(escapement)가 똑딱똑딱 끊어 일정한 박자로 바꾼 장치. 수도원의 기도 시각을 알리려 만든 이 기계가, 계절 따라 늘었다 줄던 시간을 균일한 단위로 못박았다.
